Bugs

First ending too long

The first endings always end (graphically) somewhere in the next bar, not exactly above the bar line, when adding it to a completely selected measure. There is a workaround, you can make it right by not selecting the whole bar but only the notes and rests inside that same bar, but sometimes it's empty, and then it won't work...

Features

Copy and paste tuplets

Sibelius should be able to copy and paste over triplet passages, which it cant do.

This can be very annoying....

Features

Ties into 2. Ending bar

It would be nice if one of your developers could spend some minutes to fix this:

You always need a work-around when ties are going into the 1. and 2. ending. (including playback)

Bugs

Rests do not avoid notes in other voices

There is a long-standing problem in Sibelius that rests in one voice do not avoid notes in other voices, and incorrectly overlap with them. It is necessary manually to move rests vertically to avoid clashing with notes in other voices.

Features

multible sizes for staves

very important for publishers...!

Publishers and their engravers need more setting options for staff-sizes ie.

Choir 100%, Piano-part 76% and Strings 92%

This is a very common thing to highlight dif. voices in a score.

Features

MP3-export directly in Sibelius

Although a lousy quality mp3 became a standard in the internet....

It's time to implement this as a possible export-format.

Add an option-field where user can select either wave or mp3 and depending on this selection a property-field will appear where one can set quality, bit-rate, etc....

Improvement of slurs and ties

Slurs and ties need dif. setting when there are accidentals.

b and "natural" have to be crossed by slurs and ties. When it comes to accidentals this is the engraving rule No 1 for the last 400 years.

Features

Improvement of Gracenotes

Grace-notes are very difficult to handle when they are attached behind a note with a trill. When they cross a barline they are jumping into the new bar but need to be placed directly behind the note with the trill in the left bar.

I will attach an example later....

Bugs

Scorch is incompatible with all modern 64-bit web browsers

The Scorch browser plugin is now incompatible with all major browsers on all computer platforms, because all major browsers are going to 64-bit. There is now no browser, 32-bit or 64-bit, that can run the Scorch plugin on the Mac platform. ScoreExchange just announced that they are trying to find a way not to use Sibelius Scorch to sell sheet music anymore, and so is every other business that relies on Sibelius Scorch ...more »

Bugs

Improving adding bars at the beginning of a score

When we try to add one or more measures at the beginning of a score, Sibelius makes a tremendous mess, as shown in the attached image. This is because the title, subtitle, name of lyricist and composer, among other information, are tied to the first bar. When add bars at the beginning of the score, it will keep the information linked to that which previously was the first bar. It is important that when we add bars, all ...more »

Slur/Tie over pagebreak

I would appreciate when you could add a special behaviour of ties and slurs over a pagebreak.

It is a very intensive work to add little graphics all the time.

Please see the attachment in the comment.

Change Staff Size per Page

This has been much discussed in the forum - it would be terrific to be able to shrink staff size only on certain pages where the music gets crowded.
