I'd like to see a more centralized system in place for page numbers, similar to bar numbers, in Engraving Rules -- where you can have quick, single-location access for managing their position on the page and jump quickly to their text style attributes.
This issue does not affect all printers (printer drivers), but if it does affect a particular printer, then it is a permanent and reproducible problem. This report relates to Sibelius 7.5 under Windows: it is not known whether the Mac OS version has the same problem. This problem is relevant only to multi-tray printers that support more than one paper size. The problem is that the "Paper Size" in "Page Setup" is stuck ...more »
It's normal to use other page sizes than the ones in the menu. Usually dtp programs allow to add these settings into their menus, so that it's easier to choose a custom size - or they read them from the system settings, e.g. like Acrobat.
It would be very handy if sibelius would also allow for custom page sizes to be added to the menu, and/or add these custom sizes from the system definitions.
One should be able not only to force a number of bars in one page but also to define the number of staves these bars are forced in on one single page.
What about a defining list of bars per system and systems per page, not only the predefined numbers of bars per system in auto breaks?
I'd like to have a text style ready for typing block lyrics on a blank page. Sometimes all the music fits on one page but the lyrics for 2nd verse and so on don't. So I'd need to have block lyrics for a blank page to have the same text style and formatting options. This is very usual with songbooks that the following verses are on a separate page with no music on it.
For use in headers and footers like \$PAGENUMBER\
Not at the very top of my wishlist but still: It would be nice to be able to add prefix and suffix text to page numbers (in the same way that's currently possible with Rehearsal Marks).
