The Scorch browser plugin is now incompatible with all major browsers on all computer platforms, because all major browsers are going to 64-bit. There is now no browser, 32-bit or 64-bit, that can run the Scorch plugin on the Mac platform. ScoreExchange just announced that they are trying to find a way not to use Sibelius Scorch to sell sheet music anymore, and so is every other business that relies on Sibelius Scorch ...more »
I'm currently trying to work on a piece that is in 8/4 time, and is 200 measures long with 33 staff lines on Sibelius 7.5.1, using Windows 7 Home Premium. I notice that even after calibrating live tempo, when I try recording a live tempo section, the recording bar often seems to either lag far behind or skip far ahead of the measures and tap-points where I am actually trying to conduct. It also doesn't handle fermatas ...more »
Click & drag mouse/touchpad notation: (touch and drag for windows 8 as well) Click and hold on the desired position on the stave and a horizontal pop-up list of note values appears to the right. Other values such as naturals, sharps, ...more »
I would like to see Scorch as a Windows App on the version 8 platforms. Why should this only be for iPad? I'm moving to everything Windows now and I would love to have this application released in the Windows Store. It would also boost the number of products that Scorch would be available for, with the touchscreen masses that is available now.
It would be very helpful when there would be a preview in the windows-explorer when searching for scores in folders.
I would like to be able to activate/deactivate the win-shortcuts when entering/editing text.
When writing sfz, rfz sfz etc. bold using the ctrl-key some shortcuts collide with the text.
This should only affect to the text-tools and user can active/deactivate it whenever they need it.
Please provide score thumbnails for Windows Explorer to display instead of the default Sibelius score icon.
Mac OS users already have this as part of QuickLook.
It would be nice if Sibelius Scorch had a metronome. This would be of immense help to beginners and opens up the prospect of being able to write instructional tutorials entirely within HTML.
Currently, when I have a VST plugin interface open, as soon as I click back anywhere in the score, the VST window disappears and I have to click twice on the VST icon on the mixer twice (once to fully close it and again to re-open it) to bring it back. This is really frustrating because if I am constantly auditioning sounds and then tweaking them in the VST window, I need to have the window always open. Currently there ...more »
A Windows XP or 7 'side by side' critical error - BSOD) occurs intermittently when Sibelius 7.1.3 is rewired to Pro tools 8.x.x. This has now occurred on two distinct, powerful computers. Will continue to troubleshoot Windows assemblies; however, it is floated here just in case it is an AVID issue.
