I would like the ability to easily make a part "act like a score". Create a part, add all the staves I want to be shown on the second score, then click some kind of "act like score" checkmark and boom! a second score that can be formatted independently of the first. There are many reason why this is handy. - I may have two scores formatted differently. Like an 11 x 17 version and a study score version. - There ...more »
Taking a leaf out of FL Studio DAW, the use of scaleable vector graphics would make the interface even more beautiful as you can scale up panels.. (especially the mix in sibelius where fine tweaking can be minuscule) without the loss of detail.
Just as in Panorama view when you scroll to the right the instruments stay listed to the left, it would be rather fabulous if you could have the same happening with the lyrics to stay on the top of the screen as you scroll down so that instead of relying on the measures for aligning of lyrics to notes you can keep them in view exactly.
The "Also play gaps after section ends" checkbox is in Play>Performance. It'd be extremely useful to have this in the Inspector under "Section End" to save going to Play>Performance each time.
My name is Guy Juravich and I am the inventor and founder of Spinbal, the Cymbal Spinner. Spinbal is a ball-bearing cymbal seat which allows cymbals to spin for extended periods. Similar to vibraphones and rotary speaker cabinets (such as Leslie), revolving cymbals produce a unique Doppler-shifting vibrato. With the addition of hanging "sizzle" ball chains, spinning cymbals produce white noise for extended periods as ...more »
Hello, I just bought Sibelius this month. As a blind musician, I use it with NVDA and a CHinese screen reader, with the help of the Sight Impaired plugins and instructions from Bob Zawalich and Kevin Gibs. Although most of the functions are accessible, I still found many important places can't be accessed by blind people. So I sum up all issues I can think of, and list them here. The Sibelius developers and/or plugin ...more »
I'd love a shortcut button in the ribbon, as well as a keystroke shortcut "print to pdf" which automatically creates a pdf in the same folder that the sib file is saved in. Rather than going Command+P, Click Export, Click PDF, select filename, etc. That would save me alot of time!
is it possible to implement this features ? s
Setting A4 paper size works for the score, but the parts are still shown as letter size as default in the print dialogue, often leading to the tops of the titles or copyright being chopped off - although Sibelius at least tells you this will happen in the preview. I would prefer to be able to select A4 for the parts and have this flow through as default to the print dialog. I never use US letter sized paper - I don't ...more »

Using sound IDs to trigger different articulations by channeling them to another instrument seems to have a lot of promise, but I am thwarted by the implementation. If I have a french horn instrument in my configuration setup (brass.horns.french horn) on MIDI 1 and I have another instrument to implement the staccato (brass.horns.french horn.staccato) on MIDI 2, adding a staccato marking to a note on the French Horn staff ...more »
