Would be great to be able to input a "chord" such as N.C./F (i.e. a single bass note) by just playing an "F" on a midi keyboard while entering chords using the chord input tool instead of having to enter this using legacy chords
Would be great if I could copy and paste bars containing rhythmic slashes and chord symbols but on some of the repeats using a "re-input chords" feature (similar to re-input notes) that would allow me to easily edit chord symbols on repeats.
When I stop the Play, the vertical line is dark green. It is difficult to find sometimes.
It would be good if we could change that to another color, such as red.
It would be great to be able to bracket chords in using the chord tool instead of heaving to convert the chords to legacy chord symbols. When using the plugin to bracket chords (which converts them to legacy chord symbols) these don't line up horizontally with regular chord symbols
I recently had to reset my PC from scratch.
After installing and activating my latest Sibelius Ultimate (it is at "Programs"), I extracted the freshly downloaded Sibelius Sounds - and noticed the installer proposed to install the sounds in "Programs (x86)"!
This I cannot understand: The sounds library, needid so much RAM, is installed in the limited area of x86???!?
In the most recent update accidentals entered into text take up more vertical space than letters or numbers. More specifically the complete area of the character, not the actual character itself is taller. Therefore when creating multiple lines of text any line that includes an accidental will have a larger vertical spacing than lines that have only letters or numbers. This results in inconsistent spacing of text. In ...more »
A search function in the "Install plugins" window could be useful if you're looking to install new plugins that have a certain feature but you're not sure where exactly to locate them in the list that is provided.
I'm currently rearranging some Christmas stuff for other ensembles than my usual brass. in an effort to a) standardise my output and b) to ensure spreads look like spreads I have taken to adding a title page to parts with 2 or more sides. Some of these new ensembles have fewer parts than I provide for my brass quintets, so I have been deleting the existing dynamic parts and creating new ones using New Part. What's happening ...more »
When using the re-input notes feature, it doesn't include grace notes/appogiaturas and automatically skips to the next note after the grace note.
When I try to make two voices (with the exact same rhythm that contain triplets) into one voice, the notes that were triplets disappear. See the attached images.
This is very frustrating when trying to merge to parts (eg. flute 1 and flute 2) in a single stave
It would be a massive time saver if sibelius would automatically change both the note and the tied note when using the re-input pitches feature.
In my example below, I would have to play "D" twice in order to change both the note and the note it's tied to. It would be much faster if I only had to change the pitch of the first note and then the second note automatically changed.
I've noticed sometimes when copying and pasting between parts the ties end up being the wrong way around (copied from top to bottom stave in my example).
