When importing MusicXML file, the tempo marker is not displayed. Notice in screenshot the top image shows MuseScore displaying the tempo. In bottom image shows Sibelius with tempo marker not visible. Interestingly, playback does occur at correct tempo, so Sibelius is recognizing the tempo, just not displaying it for some reason.

I switched from Finale and I very much appreciate Sibelius's pitch-before-duration setting for note entry (Preferences > Note Input > Specify pitch, then duration) because that is my "native language." 🙂 But there's a glitch when adding TIES to CHORDS with DOTTED RHYTHM using STEP-TIME entry. Specifically, the tie is added only to the bottom note of the chord. To reproduce, make sure pitch-before-duration is on and ...more »
Welcome indeed, Sibelius 2018.4 !! Thanks for all these new facilities ! Beautiful slurs handling ! Urrah for new notes/rests spacing ! But ... why on my Mac Book the program does'nt save the Engraving preference "Verson 3" regarding Notes & Tremolos, always returning instead s to "Version 1 (!!)" ? When I correct a score in Photoscore and transfer it to Sibelius, sometimes several bars are missing. And this at different places in the score. I can't figure this out.
Setting A4 paper size works for the score, but the parts are still shown as letter size as default in the print dialogue, often leading to the tops of the titles or copyright being chopped off - although Sibelius at least tells you this will happen in the preview. I would prefer to be able to select A4 for the parts and have this flow through as default to the print dialog. I never use US letter sized paper - I don't ...more »

Using sound IDs to trigger different articulations by channeling them to another instrument seems to have a lot of promise, but I am thwarted by the implementation. If I have a french horn instrument in my configuration setup (brass.horns.french horn) on MIDI 1 and I have another instrument to implement the staccato (brass.horns.french horn.staccato) on MIDI 2, adding a staccato marking to a note on the French Horn staff ...more »
When you launch Sibelius and would like to play back your score from a particular spot, you can select a note and type 'p' ... except the first time! No matter what you select, the first time you Play, it starts where the play cursor was positioned last time. This is annoying.
