The Auto-save and Auto-backup functions are widely misunderstood. May we please have a function in Sibelius that does what people THINK they should do - periodically invoke Ctrl-S?
In [Parts - Staves in Part] you can choose which staves appear in the part. The same should be available for the Full Score. This would allow something like a piano reduction to be available as a part but not visible in the Full Score.
I frequently have to make changes to the default spacing between staves - either in a full score or in parts. Often, though, I will want to ensure that this manual spacing is consistent between multiple staves. It would be great if it were possible to select a group of staves, hit "Distribute Staves Evenly" and have the spacing average out between them.
Would it be possible to have different staff sizes in Panorama and Page view ? And, much more, automatical change browsing form one to other view mode ?
For me, it is more useful to better see parts in full size in Panorama, and shrinking them in page view for a perfect print layout
Still missing is that you can fix & save the channel routing. Everytime I apply some orchestral percussion, I hear oboes, trumpets playing when the drum should be there. I wish to assign channels for the drum staves, so I do not have to search with each reopening of a score where to get the sounds from. This is time wasting. And: Even if I add the orch percussion with a 5 line system, I only hear *one* sound (if finally ...more »
Sibelius takes some time to load. I would be able to switch off unneeded parts (e.g. the ideas library)
I would be able to enter a new note (more distant than a third) directly into the upper octave when using the alphabetic keyboard.
You should be able to add an automatically generated Timecode to a bar or bars of your choosing. At the moment, the Timecode button found under the "Play" tab only allows you to create timecodes on the score at the start of each system or every bar. I would like to be able to select a bar in the score, and have Sibelius create a timecode (using the same logic as it uses for the current Timecode function in the "Play" ...more »
I wish for Sibelius Now in sibelius there is Dictionary and SoundWorld for control the instrument. I can create my own SoundWorld and DIctionary, but it is long way and not flexibile. What about Multiple DIctionary for each instrument (use different Dictionaries for each instrument) or add new Rules For Instrument which take all data from Dictionary. But Rules will be only for playback. And allow use more control same ...more »
I would like the ability to easily make a part "act like a score". Create a part, add all the staves I want to be shown on the second score, then click some kind of "act like score" checkmark and boom! a second score that can be formatted independently of the first. There are many reason why this is handy. - I may have two scores formatted differently. Like an 11 x 17 version and a study score version. - There ...more »
Taking a leaf out of FL Studio DAW, the use of scaleable vector graphics would make the interface even more beautiful as you can scale up panels.. (especially the mix in sibelius where fine tweaking can be minuscule) without the loss of detail.
The "Also play gaps after section ends" checkbox is in Play>Performance. It'd be extremely useful to have this in the Inspector under "Section End" to save going to Play>Performance each time.
