May we have the old, less blocky font back for the Keypad please? The one where normal notes and gracenotes looked different.
I cannot find a setting in Sibelius about this. How many times have I clicked a number on the KeyPad (eg.4 for crochet) only to find my KeyPad is still displaying the fermata or other tab and NOT the first tab with notes. PLEASE guys, give us a setting in Preferences where one can enter a number (in seconds) where the KeyPad resets back to the first tab after reaching the number of seconds as specified in Preferences. ...more »
In Sib. 7.5 you could assign a keyboard shortcut to select "All Voices" from the "All Pages" part of the Keypad. In 8.1, even if you add the shortcut in Preferences>Keyboard Shortcuts> Keypad>All Voices and click OK, the shortcut does not work - all other voices (1,2,3,4) can be selected but "All Voice" can't. It is imperative t have this shortcut work; without it, hours can be added to projects. The All Voice selection ...more »
Sibelius's Keypad is designed for entering multiple types of musical data but consolidating the types of data into 5 panels that you scroll through. It would be nice to have an option to explode the keypad into separate panels or even have a pull down menu to always (and only) use the ones you need. I use this on MoTU Composer's Mosaic (yes I still use that software...) and it has that option. I have a big enough screen ...more »
Bit of a aesthetics nazi one here but the quality of the graphics on the keypad compared to the rest of the software is very 90s!
Sticks out against the markedly better quality of the type, notation and general resolution of the rest of the Sibelius experience.
Obviously not something that keeps me up at night but needs improving.
It would be more than great to have the possibility to increase the view of the Keypad. It is a tool you use all the time. it's far too small! What do you thinK?
While the built-in sounds are fair enough for most common usage users come to a certain point where they want to expand their library. For some libraries on the market are very good soundsets available but also there are a lot of sound-engines where no sets are available at all. Especially the add-on libraries for the Kontakt 5 or Kontakt Player 5. (like Era Medieval Legends, ActionStrings, SessonStrings, etc...) ...more »
I have a third-party Mac-compatible external keyboard, the USB 2.0 Keyboard by Matias. On Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion, the keys are all mapped perfectly correctly when I use Sibelius 6 or PhotoScore. However, when I use the same keyboard with Sibelius 7, several of the hardware keys on the keypad no longer perform the assigned function. For instance, I have no way to use the keyboard to add a dot to the length of a note, ...more »
