At present, if a chord is spread across both staves of a grand staff, one can attach (using keypad 5) an arpeggio line either to the treble staff chord, or to the bass staff chord. The arpeggio line can be lengthened to spread across both staves, so that it looks correct visually. Absolute important for publisher...! Please add group-names. The solution might be the following: Add 2 text-fields on the instrument-panel labelled "name in group" and "short name in group". A doubleclick onto a sub-bracket opens a dialogbox where one can enter the full name and a short name of the group, the alignment and whether the inst.name (entered on the instrument-panel) will be left or right of the sub-bracket. ...more »

It might be helpful when you could select different midi-channels/sounds per voice in one staff ie. Flute and Piccolo in one staff but different sounds.
The first attachment (illustrated) shows the bottom margins of a default newly-created score, with the bottom staff justified against the bottom of the page. One might imagine that the 25mm shown is simply the sum of "Bottom page margin" and "Bottom staff margin" as defined in "Document Setup". But no. I would simply like to draw the cross staff glissando arrow and have the gliss go across staff as shown but also be played. Sibelius can not play this but plays only half of the chord. This is essential for Harp. Here is the score as it looks and you will hear the harp at .33 seconds in Glissando, but its written incorrectly here and I have to figure a work around.
Implement a "playback staff," similar to functionality in Notion 4. Sometimes, a combination of system text and magnetic layout can cause the "optimize staff spacing" function to create large gaps in grand staves. Whilst this seems like an unlikely combination of events (and there is a workaround by switching off magnetic layout on the system text) it does happen often enough to be annoying and consistently enough to be considered a bug.
Existing playback mechanisms in Sibelius, Notion, and many other platforms use user keystrokes to initiate the MINI Note On message--and use the note's length to determine when the Note Off message will be sent. When extracting parts, in order to have the chords displayed in every part, I have to put chords in an invisible staff and define again all parts so that they include that staff. I would like this to be more intuitive, like making chords an special staff that might be present in every part (or may not)
Sometimes it would be reallly useful to be able to flip the direction of one of the end hooks independently (for instance in certain cross staff situations).
