Copy and paste tuplets

Sibelius should be able to copy and paste over triplet passages, which it cant do.

This can be very annoying....

Features

multible sizes for staves

very important for publishers...!

Publishers and their engravers need more setting options for staff-sizes ie.

Choir 100%, Piano-part 76% and Strings 92%

This is a very common thing to highlight dif. voices in a score.

MP3-export directly in Sibelius

Although a lousy quality mp3 became a standard in the internet....

It's time to implement this as a possible export-format.

Add an option-field where user can select either wave or mp3 and depending on this selection a property-field will appear where one can set quality, bit-rate, etc....

Change Staff Size per Page

This has been much discussed in the forum - it would be terrific to be able to shrink staff size only on certain pages where the music gets crowded.

Allow enharmonic spelling changes in parts w/o changing in score

For transposing instrumental parts, where the score is notated at concert pitch, it is often desirable to re-spell certain accidentals. However there should be an option to not allow these re-spellings to change the non-transposed spellings in the score. Currently, one must make a new .sib file for these particular parts in order to not adversely effect the full score.

Make Inspector Globally 'Pinnable'

Make the Inspector's visibility a program preference. Right now I have to pin it up for every new score. I use it all the time and just want it to stay out.

Playback of grace notes

Sibelius' playback of grace notes is often unacceptable. Sibelius plays back all grace notes as acciacaturas: i.e., before the beat and very quickly. I find the only way to get appogiaturas to play back correctly as they would be performed by informed live musicians is to notate them rhythmically as regular notes, possibly with an accent mark. Visually, that negates the intention of the composer who wanted appogiaturas ...more »

Features

time signatures at repeat barlines

When a time signature occurs at a start repeat barline, Sibelius places the time signature after the barline, and inside the repeat. This needs to be changed so that the time signature appears before the start repeat barline.

Saving workspace in dual-screen mode (user-friendly)

Sibelius is installed on a computer with 2 monitors. One for the program and the score/part, - the other for the mixer, inspector, ideas, transport, navigation etc.

Whenever I open a new score I have to drag everything to the right place. The "setting custom view option" in the property-box doesn't help.

I would like to save this workspace so whenever I start with a new score everything is where I want it to be.

REWIRE 64-bit

Currently, Sibelius can only communicate with a DAW that is in 32-bit mode. Like many other people, I use Sonar in 64-bit mode. I bought Sibelius specifically TO use Rewire and now it's useless to me.

I am requesting that Sibelius create a patch that allows Sibelius 7 to communicate with 64-bit DAW. Thank you.

Add SoundCloud, Facebook, and YouTube Sharing to Sibelius

Sibelius First 7 added support for sharing files to SoundCloud, Facebook, and YouTube. The full version of Sibelius should also support Sharing to these sites.
