when exporting a score to WMV format or sharing to Youtube, the playback line is always lag a note or two. I think this might be a bug that could be fixed.
When printing multiple copies of a complete set of parts, the number of individual parts is ignored and only one is printed. For example, if I need two full sets of parts, and 3 copies (x2) of one of those parts, Sib only prints one copy of that part, along with the rest. I have to go back and print extra copies of that individual part to complete the sets.
On Mac OS, the PhotoScore Lite (and Ultimate) installer installs a file called "libPDFNetC.dylib" to the folder: /usr/local/bin but fails to ensure that the file-system permissions on that folder (and the parent folders) allow this file to be read and executed by applications such as PhotoScore. The result is that PhotoScore fails to launch. This KB article refers: http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/en_US/error_message/Photoscore-will-not-open-on-Mac ...more »
Sometimes if I've been using Sibelius 7.5 for a few hours, some of the keyboard shortcuts stop working, especially ⌘+K for chord symbols. How do I fix this?
From version 1 and now up to v8 of Sibelius I always have to 'shunt' a repeat bar line away from the clef and key-signature at the beginning of a stave and so often - almost always - after I have saved the file and I come back later and open the file to print, the barline has crunched back on all parts and I have to go over all the parts and re-do them and print crossing my fingers it won't muck up again.
All voices have stopped responding in playback except one (bsn 1) in orch score. Using 7.5 windows. Worked fine earlier. No mute settings I can detect.
Make the 'a' key shorcut work to insert a A
when I insert a special page break and change margins for a new movement in parts, nothing happens the first time. then, if I do the exact same thing a second time, it will work.
When using the term "reggae" as Tempo Text, playback results in notes either being cut off prematurely or not sounded at all, probably due to MIDI overlap. This only happens when two notes are the same pitch, as in bar 6 of the attached file. Removal of the Tempo Text results in normal playback.
A Windows XP or 7 'side by side' critical error - BSOD) occurs intermittently when Sibelius 7.1.3 is rewired to Pro tools 8.x.x. This has now occurred on two distinct, powerful computers. Will continue to troubleshoot Windows assemblies; however, it is floated here just in case it is an AVID issue.
