Sibelius 7.5 doesn't use the Windows convention of allowing to use the Enter key in a print dialog to begin printing. In Sibelius 7.5, you have to click on the Print button to start printing instead. It might not seem to be such a big problem, but it's pretty annoying to me. I don't see a reason why Sibelius can't behave as other Windows applications do. Sibelius 5 allowed you to begin printing with the Enter key, ...more »
Please create a full-fledged sound set for Garritan Personal Orchestra 5. Sound sets for older versions of Sibelius, at least for 7 and 7.5, should definitely be available as well.
On the same manner that a simple tie keeps always his extremities between two notes, it should be a very useful option to have the possibility to write a dashed line between two notes of a melodic line who dumps from a staff to an other.
It's very useful for transcribers of polyphonic peaces to organ scores where artist like to follow the melodic line.
Honestly, the Application Manager is little more than a marketing tool to push notices and marketing info on users. One user already wants to disable it and another wants you to dump Java. How about just dumping the marketing tool all together? Notices for available upgrades already come from within Sibelius so there's absolutely no legitimate need for the Application Manager.
Looking for a way to get independent volume control of 2-stave keyboard parts. Either by observing different dynamics on each staff, or by having independent control of the volume on the mixer faders which are now tied together.
Does anyone have a workaround for beaming over rests when you just want to beam over rests for one line, not the entire score in Sibelius 8? There used to be a way in Sibelius 6 but now whatever I try changes the entire project.
A proprietary tablet custom designed for professional musicians, and groups of musicians, in a local network using Sibelius as the engine. The tablet system would meet this criteria: 1) True 9x12 inch screen size matching that of traditional printed music sheets. 2) Two 9x12 inch screen tablets hinged together as a book to match common printed music form, and for portability. 3) Wifi connection with a master/sub ...more »
At the moment Sibelius 7.1.3 has an anomalous situation where chord symbols (chord names) associated with a transposing instrument part ARE transposed with the transposing instrument part via "transposing score" However the associated concert (sounding) pitch fretted chord diagram is NOT transpose. This results in the weird phenomenon where the transposed chord symbol (chord name) does not match the fretted chord ...more »
Sibelius 7 and 8 have unacceptably slow editing response time in large scores (Symphony, Opera, Oratorio) which contain many hidden midi messages (~C7, q=, etc.) necessary for the use of mixed sound sources (non-VST + VST). Breaking long movements into two or more segments is not feasible.
It's not possible to easily (with a filter) select a certain line of lyrics in a song that has repeats and thus more lines of lyrics. The programm can create up to 5 lines of lyrics under (or over) one line of notes, but it's impossible to select p.e. just the lyrics of the 2nd line. Now this can only be done by manually selecting every syllabe. This can be very frustrating for instance when you want to write out the ...more »

The accessibility for Screen readers needs to be improved. In the last two years, blind users could use Sibelius by utilizing the screen reader NVDA. In the last year, I encountered, that Sibelius crashes, as soon as I have NVDA loaded. I would greatly appreciate an accessibility feature on Mac OS and the screen reader "Voiceover".
With kind regards
