Transport Slider Bar Adjustment

When using the transport bar for playback, it would be helpful to be able to choose and adjust your tempo with manual entry of numbers, rather than (or in addition to) the slider bar. This would give more precise control, instead of the "slippery slider bar." Thank you.

Features

Fixed-width bars

We know that they are deprecated by the experts, but we also know that customers keep requesting them. So provide an option within Sibelius for equal-width bars on each system.

Features

Show bar rests: separate setting for score and parts

I'd love to be able to set "Show bar rests" (in Engraving Rules) separately for score and parts.

One common scenario would be to hide them in the score (for a structurally cleaner look) but show them in the parts (to go that extra mile, in order to make musicians feel at home).

Bugs

Key signature in bar 2 breaks Tacet

In a Part empty of notes, which would normally print as a Tacet sheet, a key signature change at the beginning of bar 2 (or, by Sibelius-logic at the end of bar 1 I suppose) breaks theTacet.

Bugs

Deleting Bar Also Deletes Special Barlines and Key Signature

When a bar is deleted that is followed by a new key signature and/or a special barline (double, dotted, etc.), the key signature is deleted and the barline reverts to a normal one. Please change the behavior so that deleting a bar only deletes that bar and anything in it, not barlines and the following key signature.

Old Style bar rests for more than 8 bars

Make old style bar rests available for multirests longer than 8 bars. This feature has been long supported in Finale.

Bugs

Bar numbers missing

I've encountered this bug a couple of times now; I create a lot of lead sheets with sibelius and use a lot of things like rehearsal marks and text at the beginning of bars and such. Sometimes I need to hide a few bar numbers (I only use them with the default on the beginnings of staves), so my stuff can fit in. But, and I don't know exactly why, it sometimes happens that all the bar numbers in the sheet just vanish, apart ...more »

Features

changing notehead type from status bar (or from inspector)

I would like to have the possibility to change Notehead Type directly from the Status Bar, or shown in the inspector (or somewhere..) like in previous version of Sibelius.

Coming back each time you need it to Notation tab in the Ribbon could be annoying.

Tonic Sol-Fa

I want to be able to produce scores in tonic sol-fa notation (WITHOUT standard music notation). As far as I'm aware, there is currently no software available to do this, but I'm sure it could be done fairly easily. The difficulty of just trying to write it on, say, Microsoft Word, is that spacing quickly becomes a problem, and there are no good ways of writing the little hook (, or ' ) denoting octave, without using up ...more »

Add Sound id to the Status Bar

The Status Bar at the bottom of the window displays lots of useful information about whatever is selected. One thing that is missing that would be very helpful when editing is the Sound ID lurking in the background of the note. This would be especially useful when what turned on a Sound ID change may be out of view at the moment. Examples: knowing if certain staff text has been applied earlier like pizz or arco; if damping ...more »

Moving bar Numbers

Most of the music I work with is flute, so there are many notes above the staff. When I turn on "show bar numbers" so I can easily check my copy-work, they are so close to the staff that I can't see them for the notes. I would love to be able to adjust them vertically, or switch them to below the staff instead of above,
