A DS will not function at all if placed on a bar with a disabled end-repeat. Even though I have it set to play repeats after DS's: - Repeats after the DS are missing one pass; - When my "To Coda" happens on an end-repeat, the repeat doesn't play at all. Example: In the attached score, the end-repeat in bar 4 is set for 2 passes (play 3 times). It plays 3 times before the DS and only 2 after. If I set it to 4 times, ...more »
I've discovered with the new 7.5 that video and audio don't sync up at all. Page turns are typically 2-4.5 measures late in both the zoomed in view as well as full page view.
When editing big scores, the sample engine makes hickups when copying notes. It's almost a second it needs to think.
This is not something a leading software in 2013 should do.
I've encountered this bug a couple of times now; I create a lot of lead sheets with sibelius and use a lot of things like rehearsal marks and text at the beginning of bars and such. Sometimes I need to hide a few bar numbers (I only use them with the default on the beginnings of staves), so my stuff can fit in. The ribbon, when controlled with keyboard by pressing Ctrl, doesn't respond to keystrokes when processing the last one. I was using a MacBook2,1 that's perfectly suitable for writing scores with Sibelius 7 but I always have to slow down to use the ribbon with keyboard. It's very annoying since it distracts me from my fast-paced workflow. Keyboard buffer for Ribbon requested! Update: Just got a new Retina MacBook this ...more »
I deleted my Sibelius 7 Sounds library because it was taking up 13GB of space. Now, whenever Sibelius starts, it has a popup that says "The library Sibelius 7 Sounds cannot be found. Would you like to specify an alternative location?" Since the sounds are gone, I always answer "No" after checking the box next to "Don't say this again", but it always says it again. I guess whoever put that checkbox there assumed no one ...more »
When printing multiple copies of a complete set of parts, the number of individual parts is ignored and only one is printed. For example, if I need two full sets of parts, and 3 copies (x2) of one of those parts, Sib only prints one copy of that part, along with the rest. I have to go back and print extra copies of that individual part to complete the sets.
