It would be very handy and intuitive to be able to edit i.e. 1st/2nd ending lines by double-clicking and simply entering text. Usually you have to create custom line styles to create a "1.-x." and "on cue" ending. Same would apply to rit. or accel. lines. There is a bunch of neat presets for it, but with this simple text-entry trick, you could save a lot of time looking for the right preset!
It would be great to have "edit instrument" in the mouse context-menu. It should work as the following: right-click into a staff and select "edit instrument" from the context-menu. Create a new edit mode so that selected notes cannot be accidentally changed in pitch (i.e. with arrow keys or mistyped letter keys). In this mode, pitch editing should be still possible, but will require a confirmation.
Unwanted Pitch changes are hard to detect (if they are detected at all!) and this will often be too late for undoing.
You go to the Edit Instrument page. Find the required instrument in the list. Double-click ... and it's Removed From Family. Happens every time! Double-click should open the Edit function.
The following behaviour would improve working with menus such as edit lines, text and symbol windows: - home/end keys go to start/end of menu (doesn't work in lines window) - select several elements to delete (lines, texts, symbols windows) - move elements with the mouse (instruments window) - move elements in lines windows - move elements in the symbols window, and add new categories - order the edit lines window through ...more »
