The 's' command creates slurs for a selected passage in only one staff. It would be very helpful, if Sibelius would create slurs for all selected staves instead! Same feature would be great for hairpins, actually!
I would like the addition of two new hairpin line shapes. The first would be a crescendo followed by a diminuendo. The second would be a diminuendo followed by a crescendo, each of these shapes combined into a single line. These new lines would provide a quick and simple way to create a hairpin up followed by a hairpin down or hairpin down followed by a hairpin up where it is required that these appear on a single ...more »
In the dictionary one can adjust both volume and note-duration for articulation. Why not implementing adjustable velocity and Control-Change 7/11 (selectable which one should be used) to crescendo, decresendo, diminuendo and hairpins? This settings should be also available in the inspector being that there are quite often different ways in a score how hairpins should be played. Sure there is a plugin which does this ...more »
When I place a crescendo (hairpin) over a note containing a tie across two measures, the sound volume abruptly drops when playback reaches the second measure. This problem has existed at least since Sibelius 7.0 and continues in Sibelius 7.5. I have encountered it with the flute instrument sample, but not with all instruments.
It would be really great if while entering dynamics one could add a hairpin or two and then finish entering the dynamics on the far side. I realize they are different object types, but what if a shortcut from within Expression text input would close the Expression text box, add the requested hairpin, and then open a new expression box after and perfectly aligned. A super nice thing would be to allow stretching or compressing ...more »
I prefer to use the keyboard shortcuts when I can. So if there is a way to remain editing after I add a slur or line type. For example. When I enter a slur. I select a note, I hit S, hit spacebar to the length I want, and hit Shift S to remove the slur. Wonderful! so fast. But now when I want to enter the next slur I have to select a note with the mouse again. If when you hit Shift S, the note remained selected then ...more »
