pitch-dependent default noteheads for drum notation

It would be a great time saver, if one could define default noteheads per pitch on drum staves, so i.e. all HiHat notes will automatically have crossed noteheads by default! Sure, you could use filters to do this, but it would be much easier and faster, if it's already done in background while entering notes.

Of course one should be able to customize these settings!

Lock Pitches

Create a new edit mode so that selected notes cannot be accidentally changed in pitch (i.e. with arrow keys or mistyped letter keys). In this mode, pitch editing should be still possible, but will require a confirmation.

Unwanted Pitch changes are hard to detect (if they are detected at all!) and this will often be too late for undoing.

MIDI "Pitch Bend Sensitivity" alters the affect that any subsequent MIDI Pitch Bend has, by applying a scaling factor. Sibelius fails to reset MIDI "Pitch Bend Sensitivity" to its default value: 1. before starting score playback; 2. after the completion of gliss playback; 3. after "All ...more »

Quartertone bugs

Please see for reference score my entry at http://www.sibelius.com/cgi-bin/helpcenter/chat/chat.pl?com=thread&start=667526&groupid=3& For certain instruments, when using quartertones, accents cause wrong pitches. Especially oboes, with accent >. Then I found that sometimes using legato slurs, or even the technical expression "legato" itself, caused the violins either to transpose a bit, or grace notes are added. !!! ...more »
