Pro Tools like workflow and shortcuts (and viceversa)

I use heavily Pro Tools and Sibelius. While I know these are completely different programs and for different purposes, I think there should be an option to customize Sibelius to work as Pro Tools in some aspects. To give a few examples: R and T keys for zooming, Playback start doesn't follow playback (like when you press N in Pro Tools, I'm tired of changing a passage, audition it, and afterwards selecting the entire ...more »

7.5 updater creates bad shortcuts

The installer for the Sibelius 7.5 updater creates Windows Explorer shortcuts that are malformed and inoperable. The bad shortcuts reference an application "C:\Windows\system32\explorer.exe". But "explorer.exe" is in folder "C:\Windows\", not in folder "C:\Windows\system32\". So the shortcuts do not work. Two such inoperable shortcuts are: 1. The shortcut to "Sibelius Example Scores", inserted into the Scores folder; ...more »

Allow new keyboard shortcuts combinations

A lot of the simple keyboard shortcuts are already used so I suggest something Autohotkey user know for a long time : two or more character KS

some examples: the F key as modifier

F2+1, F2+a, etc...

the Caps key that is almost never used could be assigned also as a new modifier key

Caps+q, Caps+7, etc....

then 2 letters KS

t+n, p+d, etc....

those double KS would be off while tex entering

Plug-ins Should Be Able To Suggest And Set Their Own Shortcuts

I wrote 8 handy plug-ins which quickly copy or move the selection around (MoveUp, MoveRight, MoveLeft, MoveDown, CopyUp, CopyDown, CopyLeft, CopyRight). I manually assigned shortcuts using Ctrl+ and Ctrl+Alt+ the arrows on the Number pad.

So I can share this plug-in with you all (it comes in handy so much), plug-ins should be able to do the work of assigning the eight shortcuts.

Lost keyboard shortcut functionality in Sib 8.1

In Sib. 7.5 you could assign a keyboard shortcut to select "All Voices" from the "All Pages" part of the Keypad. In 8.1, even if you add the shortcut in Preferences>Keyboard Shortcuts> Keypad>All Voices and click OK, the shortcut does not work - all other voices (1,2,3,4) can be selected but "All Voice" can't. It is imperative t have this shortcut work; without it, hours can be added to projects. The All Voice selection ...more »

Option to disable Key Tips

The Key Tip feature, which enables direct keyboard access to the Ribbon by hitting Alt (win) or Ctrl (mac), is probably useful to some. To me, it is merely a nuisance; it pops up when I use ordinary shortcuts and briefly interrupts the work flow. It would be a blessing to gain a way to disable it.

Keystrokes between Reh. Marks

Sibelius 7.5 introduced a "convenient" way to navigate between markers in a score; by clicking on a rehearsal mark in the new Timeline, we're redirected to that part of the score. Please make this navigation independent of the Timeline (which is visual clutter) and mouse-less by introducing a keyboard shortcut for going forward and backward in rehearsal marks. Make it so that both selection and playback start at the rehearsal ...more »

entries of inspector accessable via shortcuts

I have written this as a comment to another request which goes now into a different direction.

Please make all entries in the inspectors-panel accessable via shortcuts.

This would make life much easier when adjusting the placement of items. Also whether or not an item should be played can set very easy this way w/o interrupting the work-flow....

Logitech-user would be able to program macros...
