Tempo primo used to work correctly in v7.5. However, it seems to be broken in 2018.1
I recently completed a piece in 3 movements. The final movement has an intro followed by a cadenza and then a section marked Tempo primo. This should start at the same tempo as the movement's intro, but it just seems to choose some random value. The movements are properly marked by Section End markers.
It should be possible to place a fermata over/under a barline and have it insert a gap or pause for a specified time. This can be done on notes in later versions of Sibelius, but the only way of doing it on barlines at the moment is by a huge faff inserting bars with an odd length and hidden rests which is crazy.
2nd endings do not align over the barline when there is a TS in the 2nd time bar. When the start of the line is dragged, at a certain point, the far end of the line will extend over the next barline. If the 2nd time bar is at the end of a system, then this recreates the old problem of a little piece of line floating over the start of the new system
Since Sib 8, the use of hidden text using a tilde symbol ~ has been broken. Now text following the tilde, while appearing correctly hidden on screen, will print when sent to pdf or printer
Could it be made possible to alter slur properites to show a tick in the middle of the slur to indicate that it is editorial. This could be a switch or tick box in the Inspector.
This would be very useful for people who have to prepare editions or other strict rules of engraving.
Currently, jump to and marker text does not respond to changes in play on pass settings. It can be very useful to set these texts to only take effect on the 2nd/3rd/4th etc time.
Sibelius used to allow separate manipulation of the position of each section of 8ve and other lines when they cross systems. At the moment, only the final section is independently adjustable.
Multiple trills in Sibelius 7 sounds results in garbage on playback. The trills do not terminate after the note ends and make the following note or notes trill. After two or three trills the trill then continues in all following notes for about 4 bars.
Exporting MusicXML for use in other programs using Sibelius' export function introduces some weird and apparently random alterations in note positions. Despite my best efforts to ensure that all live start positions etc are eliminated, Sibelius seems to incorrectly adjust the positions of some notes. This results in errors when the exported file is imported into other programs, such a LilyPond.
