It would increase work flow greatly in compound meters (eg. 6/8 and 12/8 etc.) if there was a single button on the keypad you press for dotted quarter notes and dotted half notes, instead of for example always having to click the quarter note and then the dot, as these dotted notes are very commonly used in these meters.
I tend to only put in the octava sign after playing the notes at pitch on my midi keyboard. It would be cool if there was an option for the octava sign to automatically transpose the notes down an octave instead of having to manually transpose them down
Would be cool to be able to enter dynamics over multiple staves at once instead of having to enter dynamics into one staff and then copying and pasting into the others. I believe this feature is available in Finale.
It would be nice if you could be move the chord input cursor in both directions. For example, use the regular space bar to move the cursor right and shift+space bar to move the cursor right/backwards. Very annoying that after pressing the space bar a few times to get to the next point you want to input a chord/lyrics, you might accidentally go one too far and then if you press back, you'll have to go all the way back ...more »
It would be cool to be able to insert markers/locators for the different sections of music and have them appear as text in the score. Would would also be cool would have a keyboard shortcut that automatically goes to the next/previous marker for easy navigation
It would be really cool to be able to link the authorization of Sibelius to an Ilok so I can use sibelius on any computer.
Sibelius should automatically detect a midi keyboard whenever it is plugged into the computer. It is very annoying when you start sibelius and you've forgotten to plug in the keyboard before starting sibelius and have to go to "find input device".
It would be great if individual symbols could be assigned keyboard shortcuts
