Avid/Sibelius should focus at least one full build on doing nothing but fixing bugs. There are actual bugs, not feature requests, that have existed for years that are just ignored. I don't know if Sibelius' developers just don't know how to fix them or they just don't care, but a single build of nothing but bug fixes would go a long way toward showing us they actually have a great handle on the code and what needs done ...more »
Honestly, the Application Manager is little more than a marketing tool to push notices and marketing info on users. One user already wants to disable it and another wants you to dump Java. How about just dumping the marketing tool all together? Notices for available upgrades already come from within Sibelius so there's absolutely no legitimate need for the Application Manager.
Sibelius wastes a huge amount of paper when creating marching band parts which are 5x7 but you can print two on a single 8.5x11 sheet of paper. This would literally cut in half the paper a band program uses during their marching season for arrangements done in Sibelius.
